How it is I have returned, I'm not so clear...
I have no idea when it was that I last posted, but I do know so very much has transpired:
We now have a fascist government... how the hell that happened, I have not a clue; although I have my suspicions: When contemplating how my "christian" relatives voted, I am amazed how they voted for HATRED; how they voted to normalize their hatred, how they voted against the beatitudes....
The Beatitudes are blessings recounted by Jesus in Matthew 5:3–10 within the Sermon on the Mount
How does one claim to be "christian" yet refuse to follow the teachings of Yeshua ben Yosef (Jesus)? What about "Agape", Unconditional Love? What about feeding the hungry, healing the sick, providing for the children...
Yet those right-wing-christians (who are neither)... vote for, enable, & support a 34 time convicted felonious conman who also just happens to be a known rapist & pedophile... How does one justify that?
How does one of immigrant heritage vote against other immigrants, especially those who do the back-breaking, menial, low-paying work (without benefits in all weather) that no white u.s. citizen or poor u.s. citizen would ever consider doing?
Seriously, my relatives are not only 2nd generation americans, but many of their loved ones are from farmworker families.... When asked, not one of the would ever work in the fields, nor would they allow their children or grandchildren to work in the fields.... Yet they have no solution/answer as to who should do that work, so that they might have fresh food on their tables.
The catholics in my family voted for this government because they HATE Muslims.... yet they do not personally know any: their hatred is handed down from generations of Spaniards... Have they forgotten Franco? Have they forgotten what their priests did during the inquisition & crusades? Have they forgotten what their priests did to the Native Americans, Indigenous of the entire Continents of the Americas? How do they forget their ancestors' part in the genocide of the Indigenous people of North, Central, & South America; those very same people who come to amurikkka to do the work they & their families Refuse to do? How do they forget, that this country of amurikkka was once All Indigenous? California, Arizona, Texas, etc. was once All a part of Mexico?
The blatant, unmitigated, & unrepentant stupidity & entitlement of my relatives & their loved ones alone is more than enough to make my head spin....
We (amurikkkans) for the most part, have forgotten our roots, where our ancestors came from, why they came here, and what work they were willing to do in order to live this life & pass down to us a much improved manner of living....
How do we dare to forget? How do we dare to condemn those who come here to a land that was originally that of their ancestors to work the fields, clean our toilets, raise our children, clean our houses, cook our meals, care-take our elderly, wash our cars, etc.? These people (that we want to banish) have more self-respect and work ethic than those amurikkkan citizens on welfare... They have a kindness & humility that most citizens will never know.
And now, those people that voted for the ones in power who would enable, normalize & condone the hatred that their constituents have for others (libtards & people of color) are suffering: No more federal health insurance, no jobs, no more federal food subsidies, no education benefits, higher taxes, tariffs on non-amurikkkan goods, outrageous food prices: when they voted against helping those in need, they forgot to look in the mirror to see that they themselves are the needy ones and that they voted against themselves....
